This week:
In Cold Blood Part 1: Read and answer analysis questions for part one. We also delivered our apology speeches this week! Students had to write and deliver speeches to demonstrate an awareness of audience and purpose and to learn to integrate rhetorical devices and strategies into their own writing. This will aid students in developing a style that is rewarded in the sophistication category on the AP rubric. Sign up for the test by clicking on the file below. The Deadline is February 28.
This week we looked at speeches from the Rationalist Era and Introduced the Apology speech project. We looked at example of famous public apologies so that the students could learn the elements of sincere/non-sincere apologies.
We also began our first book of the semester, In Cold Blood. We will finish the first section by Tuesday 2/3. |
